LETTER FROM DISTRICT TWO COMMANDER.
Thanks to all of you who attended the District Meeting. There were several new folks, and everyone (old & new) contributed to a successful and hopefully informative get-together.
I failed greatly in thanking the Host Unit 7 Auxiliary in preparing our meal and the thankless cleaning up job that they did. Post 7 Officers Bill, Sandy, Terry, others please beg forgiveness for me and thank the Post Members and Unit Members for all the work they put in and for the Chicken, Drinks, Plates and Utensils. And thanks to all for the side dishes and deserts.
I am attaching a scanned copy of the multi-membership form that Zone 1 Commander David Bexten showed us yesterday.
I challenge all of you to have a membership application form on you at all times. You never know when you will bump into an eligible veteran. Better yet, carry one of these "multi-forms"; and we can add to any branch of the Legion Family -- Post, Auxiliary Unity, SAL, and/or Legion Riders!
And lastly, you know, MEMBERSHIP MEMBERSHIP MEMBERSHIP. As David said, we are hitting that time when hitting the 80, 85, 90, 95, and 100% get tougher and tougher.
Happy 2013 to all!
Larry Warren
